Overview

The TOA IP-A1AF is a compact PoE-powered IP audio interface with a built-in 15W Class D amplifier. It decodes IP audio streams directly into analog speaker-level output, enabling network-based paging, background music, and emergency announcements to be delivered to low-impedance loudspeakers — with no separate amplifier required.

Description

Connecting via a standard PoE network switch (IEEE 802.3af), the IP-A1AF receives unicast or multicast IP audio streams and drives connected 8-ohm speakers at up to 15W. SIP protocol support integrates the unit with VoIP phone systems and SIP-compatible paging controllers for on-demand announcements. Twenty multicast ports support simultaneous group paging across independently addressed zones. ONVIF compatibility allows video management systems to trigger audio events directly. Up to 20 audio files can be stored internally for scheduled or triggered playback — such as chimes, tones, or pre-recorded messages. An analog line output and control outputs extend connectivity to external amplifiers or relay-controlled devices. Remote configuration and control are handled via HTTP/HTTPS API or local input terminals.

Key Features

Frequently Asked Questions

Can the IP-A1AF work with any SIP-based phone system?

Yes. The IP-A1AF supports the SIP protocol and can integrate with any standards-compliant SIP server or PBX, including Cisco, Asterisk, Avaya, and similar platforms.

Does the IP-A1AF require a separate amplifier?

Not for driving 8-ohm speakers at moderate output levels — the built-in 15W Class D amplifier handles direct speaker connection. For higher-power applications, the analog line output can feed an external amplifier.

How is the IP-A1AF configured and managed?

Configuration and control are accessed via the built-in HTTP/HTTPS remote API from any web browser on the same network. Local control input terminals are also available for hardware trigger integration.

What audio file formats does the internal storage support?

Please refer to the TOA IP-A1AF instruction manual for supported audio file formats. The device stores up to 20 audio files for scheduled or triggered playback.
