Product Overview
The TOA NX-100SPS is a network audio adapter that converts analog mic- or line-level audio into standard IP packets for transport across local area, wide area, and internet networks. It lets integrators distribute paging and background music over existing IP infrastructure without dedicated audio cabling. The SPS configuration adds front-panel signal and peak LEDs for at-a-glance level monitoring during setup and operation.
Product Description
The NX-100SPS encodes analog audio into IP packets and streams it to other network audio endpoints, supporting three selectable audio-quality modes with variable sample rate and audio bandwidth and a minimum latency of about 20 milliseconds. Its programmable control inputs can initiate and terminate stored transmissions without a separate PC or control system, and each unit holds twenty distribution presets for flexible routing. Eight open-collector control outputs allow the adapter to trigger external equipment as part of a paging or automation sequence. The network interface is 10BASE-T/100BASE-TX with auto-negotiation and uses standard TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP, and RTP protocols, so it fits cleanly into managed commercial networks. Power is supplied by 24 V DC through a plug-in screw connector or an optional AC adapter. The signal and peak LEDs simplify level setting and troubleshooting in racks and equipment rooms.
