Product Overview

The TOA NX100PS network audio adapter transmits high-quality audio and serial control data over standard IP networks such as LAN or internet in real time. It is built for distributed audio applications where signals must reach remote rooms or buildings without dedicated audio cabling, helping keep running costs down. As a compact, rack-mountable network audio adapter, it suits commercial AV systems that need reliable point-to-point or one-to-many distribution.

Product Description

TOA NX100PS network audio adapter with power supply

The NX100PS carries one balanced audio channel with transformer isolation, plus eight control inputs and eight control outputs for system integration and device triggering. It connects over a 10BASE-T/100BASE-TX Ethernet interface and supports unicast to up to 4 locations and multicast to up to 64 locations, making it flexible for both targeted feeds and facility-wide distribution. An RS-232C serial interface allows transmission of control data alongside audio. The unit operates on 24 V DC or the optional AD-246 AC adapter, and a rack-mount bracket lets it occupy a single EIA rack space. For two-channel installations, compare the higher-capacity TOA NX-300PS, and find related gear under TOA network audio on Creation Networks.

Key Features

  • Audio over IP — Transmits balanced audio and control signals over standard LAN or internet connections in real time.
  • Unicast and multicast — Sends to up to 4 locations via unicast or up to 64 locations via multicast for scalable distribution.
  • Control I/O — Eight contact inputs and eight open-collector outputs support integration and external device triggering.
  • Serial data support — An RS-232C interface carries control data alongside the audio stream.
  • Flexible power — Operates on 24 V DC or the optional AD-246 AC adapter for installation flexibility.
  • Rack-mountable — Fits a single EIA rack unit with the optional MB-15B mounting bracket.

Typical Applications
