The TOA M-01P microphone input module brings a transformer-balanced microphone input on a 1/4-inch phone jack to the 900 Series modular platform. This 900 series microphone input module supplies phantom power for condenser microphones and includes gain and tone controls for level matching. It suits installations that standardize on phone-jack microphone connections.
Product Description
The M-01P occupies a single 900 Series module slot and accepts a balanced microphone source through a 1/4-inch phone jack connector. The transformer-balanced input rejects common-mode noise over long cable runs typical of commercial paging systems, while switchable phantom power lets the module drive condenser microphones as well as dynamic models. Onboard gain and tone controls allow each input to be matched against music and other program sources feeding the host mixer-amplifier. The phone-jack connector is convenient for venues that use 1/4-inch microphone cabling and want quick connection at the input. Conditioning the signal ahead of the amplifier stage helps maintain speech intelligibility across 70/100 V constant-voltage distribution. As part of the 900 Series module family, the M-01P shares the standard slot format, so a single chassis can carry the exact mix of microphone and line inputs a site requires. It works well as a new input or as a spare for existing 900 Series racks.
