The TOA N-8610RM is an IP remote microphone station for the N-8000 Series intercom and paging platform, using packet audio technology to deliver high-quality voice over standard networks. It connects directly to a LAN or WAN and routes announcements to intercom stations on an IP Intercom Exchange or Multi-Interface Unit, as well as to other N-8610RM units. The station provides 14 function keys, each with its own indicator, and expands to 40 keys with optional RM-210 extension units. PoE power and RJ45 networking make it straightforward to deploy in commercial paging and intercom systems.

Product Description

The N-8610RM brings flexible, network-based paging control to TOA's N-8000 IP intercom systems. Audio is transported as packets over a 10BASE-T/100BASE-TX Ethernet link with an RJ45 connector, so a single network cable carries both voice and control. The station supports common network protocols including TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP, RTP, ARP, ICMP, IGMP, and can address up to 16 unicast and 191 multicast paging destinations. Its 14 backlit function keys, including one under a protective cover, give operators direct access to zones and functions; adding up to four RM-210 extension units increases capacity to 40 keys in blocks of ten. Power is supplied over PoE from a compatible switching hub, eliminating the optional AC adapter in most installs, with a maximum of two units powered per hub. The station sits on a desk or mounts to a wall using the optional WB-RM200 bracket, making it suitable for control rooms, reception desks, and security posts.
