Product Overview
The TOA IR-500R Y is a wall-mount infrared wireless receiver designed to work with the IR-702T two-channel infrared wireless tuner. It captures infrared transmissions from TOA wireless infrared microphones and transmitters, covering reception areas up to approximately 49 ft in line-of-sight conditions. The unit mounts in a standard single-gang electrical box and receives both 24 V DC power and audio return signal through a single BNC connection to the IR-702T, simplifying the cable run to a single coaxial cable per receiver.
Product Description
The infrared reception angle is internally adjustable between 50° and 80° in both horizontal and vertical planes, allowing coverage to be optimized for the installation geometry without reorienting the mounting enclosure. A tinted plexiglass cover on a metal back plate provides a professional appearance while protecting the IR receiver optics. A power indicator LED gives at-a-glance confirmation of active connection to the IR-702T. The yellow (Y) color designation differentiates channel assignment in multi-receiver installations.
