TOA HX-5B 600W Indoor Variable Dispersion Line Array Speaker
The TOA HX-5B is a 2-way modular variable dispersion line array speaker designed for indoor installations where precise coverage control and high output are required. Each unit delivers 600W continuous program power at 8Ω through four 4.72" (12 cm) cone-type woofers and twelve 1" balanced dome tweeters, with adjustable vertical dispersion angles of 15°, 30°, 45°, or 60° set on-site using the included hex wrench. Horizontal coverage is a constant 100° above 2 kHz regardless of vertical angle, providing consistent left-right dispersion without the need for multiple aim points.
Ideal for spaces with long reverberation times or high background noise, the HX-5B's line array design maintains controlled directivity to direct sound at the audience and reduce energy hitting reverberant surfaces. Up to four units can be stacked vertically to increase output or extend vertical throw. The polypropylene enclosure with steel grille is finished in black. The optional MT-200 matching transformer adds 70.7V constant-voltage line support with 30, 60, 100, and 200W power taps. Input connections include two parallel speakON NL4 sockets plus an M4 screw terminal for daisy-chaining.
