The TOA EM-800 is a cardioid condenser gooseneck microphone designed for podium, lectern, and conference table applications where a fixed-mount, close-talking microphone is required. With a 420 mm flexible gooseneck and a wide 60 Hz–20 kHz frequency response, the EM-800 captures speech clearly while its cardioid polar pattern reduces pickup of ambient room noise and off-axis sources.
Product Description
The EM-800 uses a condenser capsule that operates on standard phantom power (9–52 V DC), making it compatible with virtually any professional mixer, PA amplifier, or digital signal processor that provides phantom power via XLR. At 135 g, it is lightweight enough for standard mic-stand or podium mounting without adding significant load. The 12 mm capsule diameter keeps the microphone's profile slim and unobtrusive at a presentation podium, while the flexible 420 mm gooseneck allows the speaker to adjust the capsule to their exact position. With an output impedance of 120 Ω and a −35 dB sensitivity, the EM-800 provides a clean, low-noise output suitable for mixing into both analog and digital PA systems.
