Overview

The TOA M-822IO is a remote audio input/output panel designed exclusively for the M-8080D Digital Matrix Mixer. It extends the M-8080D's I/O reach over CAT5e cabling, providing two analog inputs and two analog outputs — with built-in AES3 A/D and D/A conversion — at the point of need anywhere on the network.

Description

The M-822IO connects to the M-8080D via a shielded CAT5e (or better) RD port, drawing power directly from the network cable without requiring a local power supply. Built-in A/D and D/A converters process digital audio AES3 signals to and from the M-8080D with no additional interface hardware. The two analog inputs accept MIC or stereo line signals, and phantom power is available for condenser microphones. This makes the M-822IO ideal for distributing audio sources and local microphone inputs throughout a building — conference rooms, breakout spaces, or production facilities — while keeping the M-8080D central to the installation. A network router is required for M-8080D system setup; all RD port connections must use shielded Category 5e cables or higher.
