The WE-2 provides two extra module ports so a system can host additional 900 Series input modules beyond the host slots. As a commercial paging or background-music system grows, more sources often need to be added, and the WE-2 supplies that expansion without a forklift upgrade of the amplifier. It accepts the same family of line, microphone, and aux modules used elsewhere in the system, so integrators can standardize on familiar parts. Adding inputs through a matched expander keeps the signal architecture consistent and predictable. The expander is intended for permanent installation alongside the host equipment.
