The NX-300PS uses an advanced implementation of Packet Audio streaming with improved broadcast capacity and system expandability, including WAV file playback support. Audio is digitized with 24-bit converters at a 48 kHz sample rate for clean, professional reproduction across a 50 Hz to 18 kHz frequency response. Its two input channels are balanced/unbalanced changeable with selectable LINE or MIC operation, adjustable volume, and a -16 dB PAD, while the two transformer-isolated balanced outputs feed downstream amplifiers and processors. On the network side, the 10BASE-T/100BASE-TX interface supports auto-negotiation and a full suite of protocols, and up to 500 NX-300 units can be connected to one another over a LAN for large distributed systems.
