Description
Unlike conventional two-way designs with separated woofer and tweeter, the HS-1200CU's coaxial tweeter array is mounted concentrically with the 12" woofer, ensuring the high-frequency array and low-frequency driver share the same acoustic axis. This produces consistent tonal balance across the entire 90° × 40° coverage pattern with minimal off-axis coloration. A 3 kHz crossover manages the transition between the cone woofer and tweeter array. The speaker operates in both 8 Ω direct-drive mode (up to 300 W continuous program) and 70V/100V constant-voltage distributed mode, with rear-panel selectable power taps. The polypropylene enclosure provides durability for permanent installations, and dual Speakon plus screw terminal connectivity accommodates both touring and fixed-install wiring practices. A carry handle eases transportation during temporary deployments.
