The Prism 802 2U chassis provides a standard 19-inch rack-mount housing for Prism encoder and decoder cards, delivering power, network connectivity, and signal I/O to installed cards through the chassis backplane. Each installed Prism 853 encoder card accepts 12G-SDI input and streams H.265 HEVC or H.264 AVC IP video; each Prism 873 decoder card receives IP video and outputs 12G-SDI. The 2U chassis accommodates more cards than the 1U Prism 801, making it appropriate for facilities requiring higher channel density in a single rack unit space.
