Product Overview
CoCon Discussion is the foundational module of Televic's CoCon Conference Control Software Suite for Plixus conference systems. It provides the full set of tools required to manage a discussion-only conference session: delegate and participant management, microphone control, speaker queue management, and operator meeting control. CoCon Discussion is the required base module for all other CoCon add-ons, including Voting, Signage, Intercom, Nameplate, Speech Timers, and Interpretation. It runs as a server-client database-driven application on Windows and integrates natively with all Plixus conference hardware. For conference rooms that conduct formal meetings without electronic voting, CoCon Discussion is a complete standalone solution.
Product Description

CoCon Discussion operates as a client-server application: the CoCon Room Server manages system logic and the database, while operator and administrator clients connect to control and monitor the meeting. Administrators use the application to build meeting databases—entering delegate profiles, room layouts, and meeting structures in advance. During the live session, operators manage microphone activation, control the speaker queue, mute and unmute delegates, and monitor system status from the operator interface. The system handles all communication with connected Plixus delegate units directly. CoCon Discussion supports the preparation workflow (pre-meeting setup, delegate database, agenda entry) as well as live meeting control. For rooms requiring voting, signage, interpretation, or intercom, the corresponding CoCon module licenses must be added; CoCon Discussion is the prerequisite for all of them. For rooms using Confero cloud meeting management, Confero PLAN handles pre-meeting preparation and passes the structured meeting into CoCon for live control.
