Product Overview
CoCon Authentication is a software module that activates badge-based delegate identification within a CoCon-managed Plixus conference system. Delegates identify themselves at their seat position using a physical badge—such as an RFID or proximity card—providing both fixed and free seating configurations. When a delegate scans their badge, CoCon authenticates them against the delegate database and associates their identity with that seat position for the session. This is appropriate for formal meeting environments where knowing exactly which registered delegate is occupying each seat is required for attendance records, vote attribution, and meeting documentation. CoCon Discussion is required as a prerequisite.
Product Description

CoCon Authentication supports both fixed seating—where delegates are pre-assigned to specific positions—and free seating—where any registered delegate can sit at any position and self-identify with their badge. In both modes, the badge scan authenticates the delegate's identity and links it to the seat position in the CoCon system for the duration of the session. This delegate identity data flows through to voting records, microphone activation logs, and meeting documentation, ensuring a complete and attributable meeting record. CoCon Authentication integrates with the CoCon delegate database and is compatible with Plixus units that support badge reading hardware.
