The SB-16D connects to any Dante network as a standalone stage box or as a direct expansion unit for the TASCAM Sonicview 16XP, 16dp, 24XP, or 24dp recording mixers. When used with a Sonicview, remote microphone gain control for all 16 inputs is available directly from the console surface. The Class 1 HDIA mic preamps accept signals up to +32 dBu, providing headroom for sudden transient peaks in live performance environments. The 32-bit ADC preserves fine detail in complex mixes while maintaining consistent noise floors across the full gain range. GPIO expansion is built in — the SB-16D provides 8-in/8-out GPIO natively, expanding to 16-in/16-out GPIO when connected to a Sonicview console. Dante Domain Manager is supported alongside AES67 and SMPTE ST 2110, enabling the SB-16D to participate in enterprise-managed Dante networks and interoperate with other AES67-compliant systems.
