The MP-800U addresses the shift away from CD-based media players in commercial installations by consolidating SD, USB, FM, USB DAC, and optional Bluetooth streaming into a single rack unit. Power-on-Play automatically starts playback at unit startup for unattended operation, and fade-in/fade-out ensures smooth transitions between tracks and sources. The FM tuner supports up to 20 user-preset channels recallable from the front panel or included remote control; a dedicated unbalanced RCA tuner output feeds FM audio independently from the main audio outputs. Auto-Cue, Auto-Ready, and Incremental Play functions manage playlist queuing for DJ and event use; Key Original allows pitch-independent speed adjustment while Pitch Control alters both tempo and key. Two output level controls provide independent attenuation — one for the combined XLR/RCA/headphone output, and a separate control for FM tuner output level. The optional AK-BT2 Bluetooth adapter adds wireless streaming from paired devices; the optional IF-E100 Ethernet control card enables network remote control.
