Product Overview
The TASCAM BO-16DX/OUT is a 1U rack-mount 16-channel D-Sub-to-XLR output breakout box, converting two D-Sub 25-pin input connectors on the rear to 16 XLR male output connectors on the front for direct XLR wiring from TASCAM ML-16D, ML-32D, DA-6400, and other professional audio devices with D-Sub 25-pin analog outputs. Two 180-degree mounting orientations accommodate different rack cable routing requirements.
Product Description
The BO-16DX/OUT provides a permanent rack-mounted XLR output patch point for D-Sub-equipped Dante converters, recorders, and analog processing equipment. It is the output-direction counterpart to the BO-16DX/IN: where the BO-16DX/IN accepts XLR sources and delivers them to D-Sub equipment, the BO-16DX/OUT accepts D-Sub signals and delivers them to XLR-wired amplifiers, consoles, processors, and speaker systems. Two 180-degree rack-mount orientations allow the XLR connectors to face either toward or away from the front of the rack, minimizing cable run distance. Approximately 13mm of clearance above each XLR connector enables access to locking XLR lever releases when units are stacked. The 45mm depth behind rack ears allows rear-of-rack and shallow-rack mounting. Rack ears are reversible and removable for tabletop use.
