Product Overview
The TASCAM BO-16DX/IN is a 1U rack-mount 16-channel XLR-to-D-Sub breakout box designed for professional installation, converting 16 individual XLR female input connectors on the front panel to two D-Sub 25-pin male connectors on the rear for direct connection to TASCAM ML-16D, ML-32D, DA-6400, and other professional audio equipment using D-Sub analog I/O. Two 180-degree mounting orientations simplify rack cabling by avoiding unnecessary cable twist.
Product Description
The BO-16DX/IN provides a permanent rack-mounted XLR patch point for the D-Sub analog inputs of ML-series Dante converters, DA-6400 expansion cards, and any device that uses D-Sub 25-pin for 16 channels of balanced analog input. The two possible 180-degree rack-mount orientations allow the XLR connectors to face either the front or rear of the rack, minimizing cable run distance in various installation scenarios. Approximately 13mm of clearance above each XLR connector allows access to locking lever releases for secure connectors. The depth behind the rack ears is only 1.8 inches (45mm), enabling mounting in shallow rack spaces and rear-of-rack positions. Rack ears are removable for tabletop use.
