The FR-AV2's 32-bit float recording with dual ADC technology eliminates the need to adjust gain before or during recording — any audio captured too loud or too quiet can be corrected in post without clipping or noise artifacts. Ultra HDDA preamps with -127 dBu EIN deliver clean, low-noise mic signals from professional condenser and dynamic microphones. The built-in timecode generator sends LTC via a 3.5mm output to DSLR cameras and also reads incoming LTC for jam sync from external timecode generators. With the optional AK-BT2, wireless timecode sync is available with Atomos UltraSync BLUE devices. Input processing includes low-cut filter, compressor, limiter, and noise gate per channel. A 3.5mm stereo input provides an additional source for camera-returned audio or an ambient reference. The FR-AV2 doubles as a driverless 2-in/2-out USB-C audio interface supporting 32-bit float for Mac, Windows, and iOS for iPhone video rig integration. Up to five FR-AV2 and DR-10L Pro units can be controlled simultaneously via the RECORDER CONNECT app. The FR-AV2 is available at Creation Networks alongside the optional AK-BT2 Bluetooth adapter and DR-10L Pro.
