The Tannoy VQ MB is a dual 12-inch mid-bass large-format loudspeaker built to extend low-frequency pattern control within VQ Series arrays in auditoriums, houses of worship and large commercial venues. It replicates the low-frequency section of the VQ 60 and VQ 100 full-range systems, allowing integrators to construct flown or ground-stacked arrays with controlled mid-bass directivity. With high power handling and very high sensitivity, the VQ MB delivers high continuous SPL while preserving the array's coverage pattern below the cutoff of the mid/high waveguide.

Product Description

The VQ MB houses two 300 mm (12-inch) low-frequency transducers in a semi horn-loaded configuration, offering high power handling with low power compression for sustained high-SPL output. A purpose-designed low-frequency loading scheme yields a system sensitivity of 105 dB, producing high acoustic output for modest amplifier power. It is principally intended for use with the VQ 60 and VQ 100 full-range systems: by fixing a VQ MB at the opposing end of a VQ full-range loudspeaker, integrators can extend pattern control below the cutoff point of the mid/high PSW waveguide. The arrayable form factor also allows the module to be combined with VQ MH mid-high cabinets in versatile, compact cluster configurations. The internally steel-braced 18 mm birch plywood enclosure is finished in textured black or white paint, with a powder-coated perforated steel grille and twelve M10 flying inserts for installation flexibility. Barrier strip and Neutrik NL4 connectors handle input and link wiring, and optional vertical flyware with a 10:1 safety ratio is available separately.
