The VLS 30-WH vertically arrays fourteen 3.5-inch low-frequency drivers and sixteen 1-inch metal-dome tweeters to deliver high-intelligibility speech reproduction and full-range sound up to 35 kHz. Its defining characteristic is Tannoy's Focused Asymmetrical Shaping Technology (FAST), which biases vertical dispersion toward the lower quadrant of the listening plane, projecting energy onto the audience rather than reflective ceilings. This asymmetrical coverage reduces reverberant energy in difficult rooms and simplifies installation, since the column needs little or no tilt for optimal aim.
