The CMS 801 SUB PI complements the entire family of CMS ceiling loudspeakers by adding low-frequency extension from 42 Hz, filling out music playback and reinforcing speech in distributed ceiling systems. Its powerful 8" long-throw woofer with a multi-fiber paper pulp cone delivers premium-grade audio at up to 112 dB average and 118 dB peak SPL, while a 92 dB sensitivity rating keeps amplifier demand reasonable across a zone. As a pre-install (PI) model, it ships without a back can so integrators can stage the cutout and rough-in during construction, then add the optional back can for transformer or low-impedance operation.
