This zinc-plated steel back can lets AV integrators pre-wire and rough-in loudspeaker locations before the ceiling is finished, streamlining project scheduling. Its low-profile design suits shallow ceiling voids in commercial construction.
Product Description
The CMS 503 PI BACKCAN is an acoustically enhanced zinc-plated steel back can designed for the pre-installation of CMS 503ICT PI and CMS 503DC PI loudspeakers in newly constructed, non-suspended ceilings. Early installation of the low-profile back can is fast and simple via the included flexible metal straps, significantly reducing the time required for project finalization. The back can and containment can be installed prior to completion of the ceiling, allowing electrical and AV trades to coordinate rough-in work efficiently. Phoenix connectors are provided for input and link output, supporting clean daisy-chained wiring across multiple ceiling loudspeakers. Optional plaster (mud) rings are available separately to identify pre-wiring locations on site. This accessory is part of the Tannoy CMS ceiling loudspeaker ecosystem and is intended for installers specifying pre-install ceiling audio in commercial construction.
