SurgeX 33040-02 – 3-Phase 40kVA Online UPS, 208V, without Batteries
What is the SurgeX 33040-02?
The SurgeX 33040-02 is a 3300 Series three-phase 40kVA online double conversion UPS, 120/208V Wye in and 208V Wye out, hardwired, supplied without batteries for use with the matching BC27 33998-41 battery cabinet. It protects large equipment rooms, broadcast facilities and data spaces.
How does the SurgeX 33040-02 work?
Online double conversion keeps the load on the inverter at all times, so there is no transfer gap during an outage. Because this model ships without batteries, runtime is set by the battery cabinet it is paired with. SurgeX requires a factory startup on 3300 Series units, and most installs add the 32040-MB3WM65 maintenance bypass switch. For a 40kVA unit with cabinet included, see the UPS-33040-12.
What are the key features of the SurgeX 33040-02?
- Three-phase 208V — Built for large equipment rooms.
- 40kVA capacity — The largest 3300 Series model.
- Online double conversion — Zero transfer time.
- Runtime by design — Pair with the BC27 cabinet for the runtime the site needs.
