SurgeX 22999-05 – 10kVA Single-Phase Maintenance Bypass Switch with...
What is the SurgeX 22999-05?
The SurgeX 22999-05 is a 10kVA single-phase maintenance bypass switch with transformer for SurgeX large format UPS systems such as the UPS-42100-85R. It lets technicians service or replace the UPS while keeping the critical load powered from utility.
What does the SurgeX 22999-05 do?
A maintenance bypass switch routes power around the UPS during service. Without one, UPS maintenance means shutting down every system the UPS feeds. The built-in transformer matches the bypass path to the UPS output so the load sees consistent voltage during the switch. Installation is by a licensed electrician, typically at the same time as the UPS. For 15kVA systems, see the 22999-06.
What are the key features of the SurgeX 22999-05?
- Service without shutdown — Keeps the load on utility power during UPS maintenance.
- 10kVA single phase — Sized for 10kVA large format UPS systems.
- Transformer included — Matches the bypass path to the UPS output.
