SoundTube FP6020-II — 20" Stereo Dual-Parabolic SoundDome Speaker in Clear
The SoundTube FP6020-II is a ceiling-suspended parabolic SoundDome speaker that delivers tightly focused stereo or mono audio to a precisely defined listening zone without radiating sound into adjacent areas. Using patented Dual-Parabolic dispersion control technology, the FP6020-II projects full-range stereo sound downward through a 20.25" custom-molded PETG clear polymer dome — virtually invisible from the sides while creating an immersive listening experience directly beneath. With an averaged coverage angle of just 45° (2–10 kHz) and independently verified 30° focus at 2 kHz, the FP6020-II is the preferred choice for high-end retail kiosks, museum exhibits, casino gaming floors, trade show displays, and any environment where audio containment and minimal visual intrusion are both required.
Twin 1" (25 mm) concave aluminum high-excursion drivers are housed in individually sealed compartments within the dome, enabling true stereo separation across a 130 Hz – 22 kHz frequency range (±10 dB). The patented ZeroReflection enclosure technology minimizes internal resonance for accurate, coloration-free sound reproduction. A user-selectable 350 Hz high-pass filter (switchable with a 75 Hz setting) allows the FP6020-II to be optimized for either full-range playback or use alongside a subwoofer in demanding retail and experiential environments. Single-point balanced mounting and an included 15-foot hanging cable with four 16-gauge conductors and a CAT V cable make installation clean and straightforward. The unit can be wired 8Ω stereo or 4Ω mono, and optional junction box transformers (AC-JB10-XFMR, AC-JB20-XFMR) support 25V, 70.7V, and 100V distributed systems. An optional motion sensor module (FP-Motion) and LED light module (FP-Light) further expand the FP6020-II's capabilities for interactive and experiential installations.
Key Features
- Patented Dual-Parabolic Dispersion Technology — Produces a targeted audio footprint with true stereo separation and independently verified 30° focus at 2 kHz for precise sound containment.
- Twin 1" Aluminum High-Excursion Drivers — Individually sealed stereo compartments deliver full-range reproduction from 130 Hz to 22 kHz (±10 dB) with minimal inter-channel crosstalk.
- Patented ZeroReflection Enclosure — PETG and polystyrene sealed enclosure eliminates internal standing waves for accurate, transparent sound reproduction.
- Selectable High-Pass Filter — User-accessible switch toggles between 75 Hz and 350 Hz crossover points to optimize system response with or without a subwoofer.
- Minimal Visual Profile — 20.25" clear PETG polymer dome is virtually invisible from the sides, preserving architectural aesthetics in high-end retail and exhibit environments.
- Single-Point Balanced Mounting — Clean, single-cable suspension using an included 15-foot cable with four 16-gauge conductors and CAT V pair for easy, professional installation.
- Stereo or Mono Wiring — Configurable as 8Ω stereo or 4Ω mono, with optional 25V / 70.7V / 100V transformer junction boxes available for distributed system integration.
- Optional Expansion Modules — FP-Motion sensor enables motion-triggered mute/unmute; FP-Light adds LED illumination for interactive exhibit and display applications.
Typical Applications
- Luxury retail kiosks and point-of-purchase displays requiring audio containment that avoids disturbing adjacent product areas
- Museum exhibit halls and cultural institution galleries where audio must be directionally confined to individual display zones
- Casino gaming floor stations needing stereo sound in a defined zone without bleed into neighboring machines
- Trade show and exposition booths with high ambient noise floors requiring focused, intelligible messaging
- Digital signage installations in airports, hotels, and corporate lobbies where visual impact must be minimized
- Interactive product demonstrations and experiential marketing environments with motion-triggered audio activation

Frequently Asked Questions
- How is the FP6020-II different from a standard pendant speaker?
- Unlike conventional pendant speakers that radiate sound in wide horizontal patterns, the FP6020-II uses Dual-Parabolic technology to focus audio into a defined zone directly below the speaker with an averaged containment angle of just 45°. This makes it ideal for applications where audio bleed into adjacent zones is unacceptable.
- Can the FP6020-II produce true stereo sound?
- Yes. Twin drivers housed in individually sealed stereo compartments within the dome deliver genuine two-channel stereo separation. It can also be wired in 4Ω mono configuration if a single-channel source is preferred.
- What amplifier power does the FP6020-II require?
- The FP6020-II has a maximum continuous RMS rating of 15W and a program power rating of 30W. It is well-suited to low-power amplifiers or optional junction-box transformer configurations for distributed line-level systems.
- Can the FP6020-II be used with a 70.7V or 100V distributed system?
- Yes, via the optional AC-JB10-XFMR (10W) or AC-JB20-XFMR (20W) transformer junction boxes, which support 25V, 70.7V, and 100V operation for integration into constant-voltage distributed audio systems.
- What does the optional FP-Motion module do?
- The FP-Motion module mutes or unmutes the audio stream based on the presence of motion beneath the speaker. It does not pause or restart audio playback; for that function, a third-party message repeater is recommended.
- Is the clear dome replaceable or customizable?
- The FP6020-II ships with a clear PETG dome. Sound sleeves and alternate dome configurations are available as optional accessories to tailor the visual appearance for specific installation environments.
- Where can I purchase the FP6020-II?
- The FP6020-II is available at creationnetworks.net, an authorized SoundTube reseller specializing in commercial AV integration and focused audio solutions.
