Product Overview
The Soundcraft Notepad-8FX is an 8-channel compact analog mixer with a built-in USB stereo audio interface and Lexicon digital effects. It is designed for home studios, podcasters, content creators, and small-venue live sound applications that need straightforward microphone mixing, onboard reverb and delay, and direct-to-computer recording in a single unit. The Notepad-8FX connects to Mac and PC via a standard USB cable and is bus-powered, requiring no external power adapter during computer-connected use.
Product Description
The Notepad-8FX provides two XLR/TRS combo inputs for microphones or line-level sources, one Hi-Z 1/4" input for direct guitar or bass connection, and two stereo 1/4" line input pairs. An RCA stereo input handles consumer playback sources, and USB audio return is directed to channels 7 and 8, integrating computer playback into the mix at a dedicated level. This makes it straightforward to combine microphone and instrument sources with a backing track from a computer, phone, or tablet.
The Lexicon effects section provides reverb, delay, and chorus programs, with a dedicated FX send per channel for independent effects level control. A single 1/4" auxiliary output routes signal to a monitor speaker or outboard processor. 48V phantom power is available on XLR-compatible inputs.
