Product Overview
The Sony BRC-X400 (white) is a 4K IP PTZ camera with 3G-SDI, HDMI, and IP outputs and NDI®|HX capability (via optional license) for networked live production. Its 1/2.5-type Exmor R sensor captures 4K with a high-ratio integrated zoom — up to 80x in Full HD (30x in 4K) — and roughly 70° wide-angle coverage. With RTSP, RTMP, and SRT streaming, genlock, and an on-air tally, it suits broadcast studios, sports venues, houses of worship, and lecture halls. This is the white model.
Product Description
The BRC-X400 uses a 1/2.5-type Exmor R CMOS sensor to capture 4K images with good sensitivity, low noise, and natural color. Its integrated high-resolution lens offers up to 80x zoom in Full HD and 30x in 4K, with an approximately 70° wide angle for flexible framing. Video outputs include 3G-SDI, HDMI, and IP. Built for IP-based live production, it supports NDI|HX through an optional license for interoperability with networked NDI devices, and streams over RTSP, RTMP, and SRT for stable video (plus audio from an optional microphone) across an IP network. Remote review is available through a web browser. A Picture Setting File lets the same configuration be applied to multiple cameras from a laptop or PC via the web interface, and genlock plus an on-air tally lamp simplify multi-camera live events. Pan/tilt range, power, and physical specifications should be confirmed against Sony's spec sheet.

The BRC-X400's strengths are its high zoom ratio and Sony color science with 3G-SDI/HDMI/IP outputs in an IP-first workflow with NDI|HX. Its 1/2.5-type sensor is smaller than the 1"-type sensors in Sony's BRC-H800 and BRC-X1000; where a larger sensor and shallower depth of field are priorities, those models are alternatives.
