A member of the Sonance Pro Series High Output family, the PS-P85T (Black, RAL 7021) combines an 8-inch aluminum cone woofer with a 1.4-inch aluminum dome compression driver in a pendant enclosure designed to hang from a ceiling grid, truss, or structural point. The horn and collar assembly ships in the box and is field-adjustable between 120-degree and 80-degree axis-symmetric coverage, so one pendant speaker can be aimed for wide-area background music or focused, longer-throw paging. An integrated 70V/100V transformer with 120W, 60W, and 30W taps (plus a 70V 15W tap) lets the PS-P85T drop directly onto an existing distributed audio line, while the polypropylene enclosure and steel grille are built for continuous commercial duty. Because pendant speakers are typically deployed where in-ceiling models cannot go, contractors often mix the PS-P85T with Sonance pendant speakers on the same project to cover both open-plenum and finished-ceiling zones from a single amplifier system.
