Sold separately from the speaker itself, the Sonance PS-C85BB back box pairs exclusively with the PS-C85RTBF baffle to complete a full in-ceiling loudspeaker assembly. It is constructed from powder-coated steel and carries a UL listing for plenum-rated spaces, which matters on commercial jobs where speakers sit above a return-air ceiling. Because the back box is purchased and installed independently of the baffle, contractors can rough in enclosures early in a build and drop baffles in later during finish work. Integrators working on a full PS-C85RTBF order should also review the matching speaker mounting accessories to distribute ceiling load evenly across the T-grid.
