The Sonance medium rectangle coverplate protects bracketed speaker cutouts and templates during the construction and painting phase of an in-wall speaker installation. The metal plate is sized slightly smaller than the finished speaker so the baffle edge conceals any paint ridge once the speaker is fitted. It is designed for select Sonance Visual Performance and Visual Experience rectangle in-wall models. This listing supplies a two-pack for multi-location projects or spares on hand.
Product Description
This rectangle coverplate is a jobsite accessory that keeps speaker rough-in openings clean and protected before the speakers are installed. After the flex bracket is set, the coverplate snaps over the bracketed hole or template to shield it from paint, drywall dust, and debris. Because the plate is sized just under the speaker footprint, painters can finish the wall up to its edge, and the speaker baffle later hides the transition for a clean finished look. The durable metal construction holds its shape through repeated handling on active jobsites. It is compatible with Sonance Visual Performance models VP62, VP66, VP68, VP66 SUR/SST, VP66 TL, and VPXT6, plus Visual Experience models VX62, VX66, and VX66 SST. Supplying the plates in a two-pack means an installer always has a spare available across rooms or repeat installs. The white finish keeps the plate inconspicuous during the build-out.
