The SMART TeamWorks Room 1-Year Maintenance Extension (TW-SW-EXT1) renews software update eligibility and technical support coverage for an existing SMART TeamWorks Room perpetual license. Once a perpetual license's included maintenance period expires — whether from TW-SW-1, TW-SW-3, or TW-SW-5 — the display continues to work but stops receiving new software versions. TW-SW-EXT1 restores that coverage for one additional year. It is purchased per room and must correspond to an existing, licensed SMART Board display.
Product Description
SMART TeamWorks Room perpetual licenses include maintenance for either 1, 3, or 5 years depending on the bundle purchased. After that window closes, the software continues operating on its current version but no longer updates. TW-SW-EXT1 is a one-year maintenance extension that reactivates software update eligibility and technical support access for a single SMART Board room license.
Organizations managing multi-room deployments can purchase multiple TW-SW-EXT1 licenses to align renewal dates across their installed base, or renew individual rooms as needed. IT administrators who track software asset expiry dates will find this a straightforward annual line item for keeping TeamWorks Room installations current with SMART Technologies’ latest releases, which may include security patches, new video conferencing integrations, and interface improvements.
