A Microsoft Teams Rooms system for large conference rooms, built as a single orderable bundle around the Teams Front Row layout on a 105-inch 21:9 ultrawide commercial display. The stack is Microsoft Teams Rooms certified end to end: Lenovo ThinkSmart Core Gen 2 compute running Teams Rooms on Windows, a Poly Studio E70 dual-lens 4K camera, a Shure MXA925 AI ceiling array microphone, and Logitech Tap control with a Tap Scheduler panel at the door. Six line items, one SKU, $20,870 — $1,999.99 below the $22,869.99 component MSRP.
This is the room Creation Networks specified, installed, and runs daily in our own Workplace Innovation Center. The bill of materials below is the same one we ordered.
Front Row is a Teams Rooms on Windows feature, and Microsoft's own documentation is specific about why the display shape matters: "In single display mode, the left panel isn't displayed by default for front-of-room displays narrower than 21:9." On a 16:9 panel you lose part of the layout. The 21:9 ultrawide is not a preference in this design — it is the aspect ratio Front Row was drawn for.
The Challenge in Large Conference Rooms
Large conference rooms fail remote participants in predictable ways, and none of them are fixed by buying a bigger television.
Remote attendees are small and low. On a standard 16:9 front-of-room display, a gallery of remote faces gets pushed into a strip while shared content takes the frame. The people on the other end are visually secondary before anyone speaks.
Two-panel walls introduce a seam and a decision. The common answer to "we need people and content" is two displays. That works, but it puts a bezel down the middle of the room's focal point and adds source-routing that somebody has to operate.
Table microphones own the surface. Boundary mics on a large table mean cable penetrations, clutter, and a coverage pattern that fails the moment furniture moves. In a room with an eighteen-foot table, table mics also mean somebody at the end is always too far from one.
Nobody is framed. A fixed wide camera renders a long rectangular table as a row of profiles. Remote participants see the sides of heads.
Rooms get judged on the first ninety seconds. If joining takes more than one touch, or content sharing requires a hunt for the right input, the room gets a reputation and people stop booking it.
A Signature Teams Room addresses these as a room-level problem — display geometry, camera behavior, microphone coverage, furniture, lighting, and acoustics treated as one system — rather than as a hardware shopping list.
The Solution
One ultrawide instead of two panels. The MaxHub UW105NA is a 105-inch, 5120 × 2160 (5K) commercial display in 21:9. Front Row places remote attendees at eye level across the bottom of the screen at life size, with shared content, chat, and the raised-hand queue above them on the same surface. No bezel through the middle. No dual-source switching for the person running the meeting.
A camera that frames the table. The Poly Studio E70 uses two 20MP 4K sensors and an AI camera array to auto-frame the room and follow the active speaker as people move. It includes a motorized privacy shutter, and it reports into Poly Lens for IT-side monitoring and firmware management.
Audio out of the ceiling, specified the way an integrator would. The Shure MXA925 mounts flush into the ceiling grid and covers a 30 ft × 30 ft area by default under Automatic Coverage, with up to eight configurable coverage zones for tighter pickup. Onboard AI IntelliMix DSP handles echo cancellation, denoising, and dereverberation. Audio and control ride Dante/AES67 over dual RJ45 with 802.1X and audio encryption. The table surface stays clear.
Compute and control as one certified kit. The Logitech Tap + Lenovo ThinkSmart Core Gen 2 base kit pairs Teams Rooms on Windows compute with the Tap touch controller, certified and supported as a single Logitech SKU rather than assembled from parts. The Tap sits on a riser mount at the head of the table for one-touch join, HDMI content ingest, and native call control. A Logitech Tap Scheduler outside the door shows availability and takes ad-hoc bookings.
The envelope, quoted per site. A curved conference desk seats people in an arc facing the camera instead of in profile down a rectangle. A VIA wall system with integrated lighting puts even, warm light on faces rather than leaving them backlit. AMQ 3F acoustic wall tiles absorb first reflections so the ceiling array hears speech instead of the room. These are supplied through our design partners and priced per site, because they depend on room dimensions, finishes, and building conditions.

Results
Front Row displays complete. Because the panel is 21:9 rather than 16:9, the left-hand panel renders by default and remote participants sit at eye level at life size, alongside content, chat, and the raised-hand queue.
One source, no seam. A single display removes bezel interruption at the room's focal point and removes source switching from the meeting.
A clear table. Ceiling-mounted coverage across 30 ft × 30 ft means no microphones, cables, or table penetrations, and coverage that does not depend on where the furniture ended up.
One-touch join. Native Teams Rooms behavior from the Tap at the head of the table; availability and ad-hoc booking from the Scheduler at the door.
A standard you can repeat. Every component is a certified Teams Rooms device with a published SKU. The room is specifiable as a standard across a floor or a campus, and it is managed through Teams admin center alongside Logitech Sync and Poly Lens.
$1,999.99 below component MSRP, ordered as one line rather than six.
Furniture, Lighting and Acoustics — Quoted Separately

Typical Applications
- Executive boardroom — client-facing spaces where remote presence has to match in-room presence
- Large conference room — standardized Signature Teams rooms across a floor or campus
- Workplace innovation center — showcase and demonstration rooms for hybrid work programs
- Training room — instructor-led sessions with a remote cohort visible in Front Row
- Multi-purpose room — spaces that alternate between presentation, collaboration, and Teams meetings
Next Steps
Installation is not included. The $20,870 covers the AV hardware stack. Mounting, structured cabling, network infrastructure, Teams Rooms enrollment, and commissioning are quoted per site after a survey, because those costs move with building conditions more than with the equipment.
Components are substitutable. A 92-inch ultrawide in place of the 105. A black MXA925 instead of white, or the round form factor. Logitech Tap IP with a RoomMate appliance in place of the Windows base kit. Dual 75-inch commercial displays if you would rather run a two-panel front-of-room wall than an ultrawide.
Send room dimensions, ceiling type and height, and seat count, and we will return a configured quote with installation. If you want to see the room working before you specify it, this system is running in our Workplace Innovation Center.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why one 21:9 ultrawide display instead of two displays?
Teams Front Row is designed for a 21:9 canvas. Microsoft's documentation states that in single display mode, the left panel isn't displayed by default for front-of-room displays narrower than 21:9. On a single 105-inch ultrawide, remote participants sit at eye level across the bottom of the screen while content, chat, and the raised-hand list share the same surface, with no bezel seam and no dual-source switching. If you prefer a two-panel front-of-room wall, we can re-quote the bundle with dual 75-inch commercial displays.
What runs a Signature Microsoft Teams Room?
This system uses the Logitech Tap plus Lenovo ThinkSmart Core Gen 2 base kit, which provides Microsoft Teams Rooms on Windows compute with the Tap touch controller as one certified Logitech kit. Front Row is a Teams Rooms on Windows feature. Teams Rooms on Windows accepts the Poly Studio E70 camera and Shure MXA925 audio as standard USB and networked peripherals, and the room is managed through Teams admin center alongside Logitech Sync.
Is installation included in the bundle price?
No. The $20,870 bundle price covers the AV hardware stack only. Mounting, structured cabling, network infrastructure, Teams Rooms enrollment, and commissioning are quoted per site after a survey, because those costs vary with building conditions.
What makes a Teams Room a Signature Teams Room?
Microsoft's Signature Teams Rooms guidance treats the room itself as part of the meeting experience: furniture geometry, lighting, and acoustics alongside certified AV. In this system the 21:9 ultrawide enables the Front Row layout, a curved desk squares participants to the camera, integrated lighting keeps faces lit rather than backlit, and acoustic wall tiles reduce first reflections so the ceiling microphone captures speech rather than room reverberation.
Can I substitute components?
Yes. Display size, camera, ceiling array finish, and compute platform can all be swapped — for example a 92-inch ultrawide in place of the 105, a black MXA925 instead of white, or a Logitech Tap IP and RoomMate appliance in place of the Windows base kit. Contact us and we will re-quote against your preferred configuration.
Do I need the furniture and acoustic package?
The AV stack works without it, but it is what separates a Signature room from a well-equipped conference room. If budget is staged, most customers install the AV first and add lighting and acoustic treatment in a second phase; we design the room so that is straightforward.
Is the room certified for Microsoft Teams Rooms?
Yes. The compute appliance, camera, touch controller, and scheduling panel are all Microsoft Teams Rooms certified devices, and the room is commissioned and enrolled for native Teams behavior including one-touch join.
