The SBC840M-US charges up to eight SB910M batteries at 575 mA, reaching 50% capacity in approximately one hour and full charge in three hours. Its compact molded plastic chassis (2.05 x 3.47 x 9.86 in.) fits on equipment tables or shelving in staging areas, green rooms, or AV equipment rooms. Storage Mode charges or discharges cells to 3.8 V for optimal long-term storage—recommended when batteries will be unused for more than eight days. Power Save Mode maintains charging capability while disabling network functionality to reduce power consumption when monitoring is not required. What is the difference between the SBC840M and SBC840?
The SBC840M charges SB910M batteries used in ADX1M micro bodypack transmitters. The SBC840 charges SB910 and SB920 batteries used in ADX1, ADX2, and ADX2FD standard-size Axient Digital transmitters. The two chargers are not interchangeable for battery types.
How does the SBC840M-US integrate with Wireless Workbench?
Connect the SBC840M-US to your network via the rear Ethernet port. Open Wireless Workbench (free download from Shure) and select the network interface. The charger appears in the Inventory tab, displaying per-bay charge percentage, battery health, cycle count, and temperature for all eight positions.
