The Shure RK312 is the OEM replacement grille for the BETA87, BETA87A, and BETA87C supercardioid condenser microphones, restoring capsule protection and performance after physical grille damage. The BETA87 series is widely deployed in live vocal performance, broadcast studio, and commercial AV speech reinforcement. The RK312 applies to both wired and wireless BETA87 configurations and installs without tools.
Product Description
The BETA87 series’ precision condenser capsule requires a structurally intact grille to maintain the microphone’s proximity effect behavior and supercardioid polar pattern characteristics. Physical deformation of the grille changes the acoustic distance between capsule and source, affecting frequency response at close working distances. The RK312 restores the grille to factory specification as a genuine Shure OEM part, ensuring the BETA87A and BETA87C return to their designed acoustic performance after replacement. Applicable to both wired versions and wireless transmitter-mounted configurations.
