Product Description
The R193 installs using tweezers or small needle-nosed pliers to disconnect the original cartridge from its lead pins, remove it from the shock-mount posts, and attach the replacement — as documented in the Shure R193 user guide. The green lead connects to the center socket and the blue lead to the outer socket; after installation, both leads must be positioned to avoid contact with each other and the microphone body to prevent noise. The BETA 87A is widely deployed as a primary condenser vocal microphone in installed AV systems, theater productions, and broadcast environments, and maintaining R193 stock enables rapid in-house cartridge repair without sourcing a replacement unit.
