Originally developed for the NBA, the Q5X PlayerMic design addresses the unique challenge of capturing clean audio from athletes in motion while maintaining performer safety. The one-piece thin rubber body bends and flexes with the wearer, making it extraordinarily concealable and resistant to impact damage. The short version provides approximately 4 hours of run time at 10 mW output—suited for game-length or event-length deployments. A 1-pin LEMO microphone connector attaches via a short pigtail for low-profile mic mounting. All setup, monitoring, and frequency management are handled through the Q5X MicCommander™ handheld remote control (sold separately).
