Product Overview
The Shure QLXD4 is a single-channel digital wireless receiver in a half-rack form factor, built for professional wireless microphone deployments in presentation, performance, and commercial AV environments. It delivers transparent 24-bit digital audio with AES-256 encryption and one-touch sync to compatible QLX-D transmitters. Network connectivity and third-party control support make it well suited to rack-mounted AV systems in conference centers, houses of worship, and auditoriums.
Product Description
The QLXD4 quickly finds open frequencies and deploys them to transmitters with one-touch sync, simplifying setup for installers and operators. It provides 24-bit digital audio with a 120 dB dynamic range and low 2.9 ms system latency, plus an extended, flat frequency response of 20 Hz to 20 kHz depending on the microphone. Automatic and networked channel scan, digital predictive switching, and AES-256 encryption support reliable, secure operation in busy RF environments, with up to 72 MHz tuning bandwidth and up to 22 transmitters per 8 MHz channel for efficient spectrum use. An Ethernet port enables management with Shure Wireless Workbench 6 and the ShurePlus Channels iOS app, and the receiver integrates with AMX and Crestron control systems for installed AV applications. Detachable half-wave antennas and a half-rack chassis make it practical to rack-mount in commercial installations. This unit is supplied in the G50 frequency band.
Key Features
- 24-Bit Digital Audio — Transparent 24-bit audio with a 120 dB dynamic range provides excellent signal-to-noise performance for critical applications.
- Low Latency — A 2.9 ms system latency keeps wireless audio tight for live speech and performance reinforcement.

Frequently Asked Questions
What transmitters does the QLXD4 work with? It pairs with QLX-D transmitters, including bodypack and handheld models. A compatible handheld option is the QLXD2/KSM9 handheld transmitter, and a bodypack option is the ULXD1 bodypack transmitter.
Can it be controlled from an AV control system? Yes. The Ethernet port supports Shure Wireless Workbench 6 and the ShurePlus Channels app, and the receiver integrates with AMX and Crestron control systems.
How many channels can I run together? RF efficiency allows up to 22 transmitters per 8 MHz channel, with up to 72 MHz tuning bandwidth for multi-channel coordination across the system.
Do I need additional antennas for larger installations? For extended coverage or remote antenna placement, an active directional antenna such as the UA874 active directional antenna can be added.
What warranty and support apply? The receiver carries Shure's standard manufacturer warranty; contact Creation Networks for warranty terms and AV integration support.
