The Shure Q5X QTAD10A AquaMic is a fully submersible waterproof bodypack wireless transmitter designed for broadcast and production environments where water is a factor. Built into a compact aluminum case, it is submersible to 10 m and integrates with Shure Axient Digital wireless receivers for secure, spectrum-efficient transmission. It is purpose-built for water sports broadcasting, reality television, and film production where conventional transmitters cannot survive.
Product Description
The QTAD10A AquaMic uses a small, rugged aluminum casing that is fully submersible in water up to 10 m, capturing audio in pools, on-water events, and wet film sets. A six-pin LEMO connector requires a matching waterproof microphone with a six-pin LEMO connector. The transmitter is modified to operate exclusively with Shure Axient Digital wireless receivers, providing advanced encryption and efficient spectrum use for demanding broadcast applications. Setup, management, and monitoring are coordinated through the Q5X MicCommander handheld remote control, which is required for operation and sold separately. This Regular version is supplied in the G56 frequency band; a Long-Life variant is also available for extended runtime.
