The Shure PGA52-XLR is a cardioid dynamic kick drum microphone supplied with a balanced XLR-to-XLR cable, built to capture clarity in kick drum and low-frequency sources. Its cardioid pattern isolates the source while rejecting off-axis noise, and a quick-release swivel joint speeds positioning inside a kick drum or against a low-frequency cabinet. For live-sound and install music rigs that run balanced XLR audio, this kick drum microphone is ready to use out of the box.
Product Description
The PGA52 is tuned for kick drum and low-frequency instruments, delivering punch and definition in performance and recording applications. The cardioid polar pattern improves gain-before-feedback and isolates the drum from surrounding kit and stage noise. An integrated swivel joint with a quick-release latch, similar to bicycle component-locking, lets engineers position the capsule fast and lock it securely. The included balanced XLR-to-XLR cable connects directly to mixers, stage boxes, and AV input panels for clean, low-noise runs. The black metallic finish keeps it low-profile on stage and on camera, and a zipper pouch is included for storage and transport. To specify your own cable length, choose the PGA52-LC (less cable).
