The Shure MX418SE/N is an 18-inch gooseneck microphone with a flange mount, an in-line preamp, and a 10-foot side-exit or bottom-exit cable, supplied without a cartridge so the integrator specifies the polar pattern. This gooseneck microphone suits flush-mount lecterns, conference room integration, and government meeting spaces where cable routing must stay hidden. Product Description
The MX418SE/N provides the 18-inch gooseneck, locking flange, in-line preamp, and a 10-foot cable that exits the side or bottom of the mount, as shown in the product image, while leaving the cartridge choice to the AV system designer. This supports standardizing one flush-mount microphone body across rooms with different coverage needs. The in-line preamp delivers balanced, transformerless output that maintains a clean signal across the long cable runs common in distributed commercial AV systems, and Shure CommShield technology rejects RF interference from nearby mobile devices. The microphone ships with shock-mount hardware and a snap-fit foam windscreen. Cartridges are interchangeable, so coverage can be retuned later.
