Because it ships without a preamp, it connects through a 6-pin modular connection to a Microflex preamp or base such as the MX400SMP surface-mount preamp, MX400DP desktop base, or Shure wireless bases for wired or wireless deployment. CommShield RF filtering keeps speech clean near smartphones and wireless gear. Once fitted with a Microflex cartridge, it delivers focused speech across the 50 Hz to 17 kHz range.
