The Shure MX391W/A is a Microflex miniature surface-mount electret condenser microphone in White, designed for conference table, lectern, and stage floor installations where a white surface finish is required. Leveraging the boundary effect principle, the MX391W/A achieves higher sensitivity and improved direct-to-reverberant sound ratio compared to an overhead microphone at equivalent distance from the source, improving speech intelligibility in acoustically challenging commercial spaces. The MX391W/A ships with the RK100PK inline RF-resistant preamplifier, an Allen wrench, and a carrying/storage bag. Available with cardioid (/C), supercardioid (/S), or omnidirectional (/O) cartridges for pattern-matched coverage across installation scenarios.
Product Description
The MX391W/A uses an electret condenser transducer with a frequency response of 50 Hz to 17,000 Hz and active balanced output. Like the MX392 series, the MX391 platform uses interchangeable cartridges from Shure's Microflex range, allowing the integrator to select the polar pattern appropriate for the room geometry and coverage requirement — cardioid for single-direction conference table capture, supercardioid for rooms with higher reverberance, or omnidirectional for round-table configurations. The included RK100PK inline preamp optimizes RF immunity for installation in facilities with dense wireless infrastructure. The sleek, low-profile white housing integrates with white conference tables and surface-mount installations in commercial meeting rooms and worship facilities.
