The Shure AD8CUS Axient Digital PSM 8-Port Antenna Combiner is engineered to streamline the RF setup in large-scale wireless in-ear monitoring systems. Designed for use with Axient Digital PSM transmitters, the AD8CUS combines the RF outputs from up to eight different transmitters into a single output, feeding a single transmit antenna. This consolidation reduces intermodulation noise and enhances signal clarity, which is crucial in complex RF environments.
Equipped with selectable 8:1 or 2x 4:1 modes, the AD8CUS offers flexibility to accommodate various system configurations. In 8:1 mode, it combines up to eight RF inputs into one output, supporting up to 32 WMAS channels. In 2x 4:1 mode, it divides the combiner into two sections, each combining up to four RF inputs into one output, supporting up to 16 WMAS channels. This adaptability ensures optimal performance across different setups.
The AD8CUS features Automatic Transmitter Compensation with ADTQ or ADTD Axient Digital PSM transmitters, compensating for passive signal loss and maintaining consistent output levels. An integrated Ethernet switch allows for remote control and firmware updates, facilitating efficient system management. Additionally, the unit includes a rackmount kit for easy integration into existing setups.
Operating within the 470 to 960 MHz frequency range, the AD8CUS is suitable for a wide array of professional audio applications, including live performances, broadcast events, and touring productions.
