Product Overview
The Shure ADX2TA/K9HSN=-G57 is a TAA-compliant Axient Digital handheld wireless transmitter equipped with the KSM9HS high-sensitivity switchable-pattern condenser capsule in a nickel finish, operating in the G57 band (470–616 MHz). The KSM9HS capsule is optimized for quieter sources and applications requiring maximum gain-before-feedback, making this transmitter a strong choice for government panel discussions, boardroom presentations, and broadcast environments where presenters do not consistently project at high levels. It is fully compatible with all G57-band Axient Digital receivers.
Product Description
The ADX2TA/K9HSN provides the same premium Axient Digital RF platform as the rest of the ADX2 series — 184 MHz tuning range in G57, ShowLink remote management, AES 256-bit encryption, and High Density mode — but with the KSM9HS high-sensitivity condenser capsule in nickel finish. The nickel finish distinguishes this transmitter visually from black-finish units in multi-transmitter deployments, supporting easier stage and inventory management. The switchable cardioid/supercardioid polar pattern gives system designers additional control over pickup focus and rear rejection. For the black-finish version, see the Shure ADX2TA/K9HSB=-G57. For the non-TAA equivalent, see the Shure ADX2/K9HSN.
High Density mode reduces channel spacing to 125 kHz for significantly higher simultaneous channel count in large installations. The SB920 rechargeable Li-Ion battery delivers up to 9 hours of runtime at 10 mW with networked docked charging support.
Key Features
- TAA Compliance — Trade Agreements Act compliant, eligible for US federal government and GSA schedule procurement without exceptions.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the practical difference between KSM9HS and KSM9 for government or conference room use?
The KSM9HS delivers higher sensitivity, which means it captures quieter sound sources more clearly at a given gain setting. In a government hearing room or boardroom where presenters speak at varying distances and volumes, the KSM9HS reduces the need for operators to constantly adjust gain and minimizes background noise amplification at lower gain settings.
Is this transmitter eligible for US federal procurement?
Yes. The "TA" in the SKU confirms TAA compliance, making this unit eligible for US federal contracts and GSA schedule purchases.
What is the difference between the nickel and black finish versions?
The capsule and transmitter body are functionally identical. The nickel finish is a visual distinction useful for differentiating transmitters by presenter or role in a multi-microphone deployment, or for matching stage aesthetics in formal government and corporate settings.
What receiver is required?
This transmitter requires an Axient Digital receiver operating in the G57 band, such as the ADX4 or ADX4D. Frequency band must match between transmitter and receiver.
What warranty does this product carry?
Shure provides a two-year limited warranty on the ADX2TA transmitter body and a one-year limited warranty on the SB920 battery.
