Product Overview
The Shure AD610 is a diversity ShowLink access point that gives AV system operators real-time remote control of Axient Digital wireless transmitters over a 2.4 GHz link. It is the bridge that lets technicians adjust transmitter settings from front-of-house or a control position without touching the device on stage or at the podium. This unit ships without a power supply and suits broadcast studios, houses of worship, and large conference deployments that rely on the Axient Digital remote control workflow.
Product Description
The AD610 establishes a 2.4 GHz (IEEE 802.15.4) ShowLink connection between an Axient Digital receiver and ShowLink-enabled transmitters, including ADX and AXT series models. Through this link, AV technicians can remotely change RF frequency assignments, adjust gain settings, and update device naming during a live event or service, which is valuable when transmitters are physically inaccessible. ShowLink carries control data only and does not transmit audio. The access point features true diversity antenna inputs for reliable control coverage, plus mounting points for 1/4"-20 and M6 x 1.0 threads to simplify rigging and rack-adjacent placement. An internal scanning radio analyzes the 2.4 GHz spectrum hundreds of times per second to maintain a stable control channel. In larger installations, multiple access points can be deployed to extend operational range or increase the number of supported transmitters across the ShowLink network.
Key Features
- Real-Time Remote Control — Technicians can adjust RF frequency, gain, and device naming on ShowLink-enabled Axient Digital transmitters without physically handling the device.
- 2.4 GHz ShowLink Link — The access point uses 2.4 GHz IEEE 802.15.4 communication with 16 available channels for the ShowLink control network.
- True Diversity Antenna Inputs — Diversity inputs improve control-link reliability in RF-dense broadcast and live event environments.
- Spectrum Scanning Radio — An internal radio analyzes the 2.4 GHz spectrum hundreds of times per second to maintain a stable control connection.
- Scalable Coverage — Multiple AD610 units can be networked to extend range or support a larger transmitter count in big productions.
- Flexible Mounting — Integrated 1/4"-20 and M6 x 1.0 mounting points support clean integration into rack-adjacent and rigged positions.
- Control-Only Data Path — ShowLink transmits parameter data only and does not carry audio, keeping the audio RF path uncongested.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does the AD610 transmit audio?
No. ShowLink carries control data only — RF frequency, gain, and device naming. Your audio continues to travel over the standard Axient Digital RF path.
Which transmitters work with the AD610?
The AD610 works with ShowLink-enabled Axient transmitters, including ADX and AXT series models. Confirm ShowLink support on your specific transmitter before deployment.
Is a power supply included?
No. This listing is for the access point without a power supply. Plan for the appropriate Shure power source during AV system integration.
Can I extend coverage across a large venue?
Yes. Multiple AD610 access points can be networked to extend operational range or support more transmitters. For directional control coverage, pair it with the Shure AXT644 directional 2.4 GHz antenna.
