Product Description
The AD2/K9N pairs the AD2 transmitter body with the KSM9 condenser capsule (RPW188, nickel) at the AD series price tier. The KSM9’s cardioid/supercardioid dual-pattern capability gives integrators and operators the ability to configure the capsule for wider coverage (cardioid) in conference rooms and corporate presentations, or for tighter off-axis rejection (supercardioid) in stage and auditorium applications—all without swapping the capsule. The nickel finish is appropriate for on-camera, broadcast, and talent-visible installations where a silver/nickel aesthetic is preferred. The AD2 transmitter supports both SB900C rechargeable batteries (up to 11 hours at 10 mW) and 2× AA alkaline batteries (up to 8 hours), and operates in Standard and High Density modes for channel density management.

What is the difference between the AD2/K9N and AD2/K9B?
The AD2/K9N uses the nickel-finish KSM9 capsule (RPW188) and a nickel transmitter body. The AD2/K9B equivalent would use the black capsule (RPW184) and black body. The acoustic performance of the KSM9 capsule is identical in both finishes.
What is the difference between the AD2/K9N and ADX2/K9N?
The ADX2/K9N includes ShowLink remote control for real-time Wireless Workbench management and supports 40 mW maximum output. The AD2/K9N does not include ShowLink but is priced lower and supports AA batteries in addition to the SB900C rechargeable.
What Axient Digital receivers are compatible?
AD4D, AD4Q, and ADX5D. Match receiver frequency band to transmitter band (G57 or K54 for this product).
