The Shure A89M-CC is a Rycote Lyre mount with a camera clamp adapter (CCA) that fits into a standard camera clamp and works with the VP89S and VP89M shotgun condenser microphones. The Lyre suspension isolates the microphone from handling and camera-transmitted noise. It is the mounting solution for camera-mounted VP89 audio capture in ENG and field production.
Product Description
Mounting a shotgun microphone to a camera rig requires isolation from the vibration and handling noise the body and operator introduce. The A89M-CC places the VP89S or VP89M in a Rycote Lyre suspension and connects through a camera clamp adapter that fits a standard camera clamp. This keeps captured dialogue and ambient sound clean during run-and-gun shooting. Developed by Shure with Rycote, the mount is sized for VP89 modular shotgun microphones so it holds the unit securely.
