The Shure A3WS is a black foam windscreen that reduces breath and wind noise on the SM94, SM137, 849, KSM109/SL, and PG81-XLR microphones. It is a low-cost accessory for studio, broadcast, and commercial AV positions where plosives and air movement degrade speech and instrument capture. Adding the A3WS protects intelligibility at podiums, instrument positions, and voiceover setups.

Product Description

The A3WS slips over the grille of a compatible microphone and attenuates breath blasts, plosives, and air movement before they reach the capsule. Because it fits several Shure condenser bodies, a single windscreen type can be standardized across part of a facility's microphone inventory, simplifying spares management for integrators. The foam element reduces noise without noticeably dulling intelligibility, preserving clarity in conference, broadcast, and instrument applications. The black finish keeps the microphone visually discreet on camera and at the lectern. As a soft foam accessory it is an inexpensive consumable to replace across a fleet of microphones. The A3WS is sold individually.
